CINCINNATI – The Bowling Green State University tennis team concluded two days of competition at the Pam Whitehead Invitational, hosted by the University of Cincinnati on Sept. 17 and 18. The Falcons, competing against Cincinnati, Miami (OH), and Western Kentucky, won ten combined matches. In the hidden dual against MAC foe Miami, the Falcons won 4-3. Ioanna Tsadari shared the singles title after finishing 2-1 in the No. 1 spot. Annika Vetter finished 3-0 in singles for the second consecutive weekend, this time playing in the No. 2 spot.

"I'm happy with the overall results this weekend. We battled hard against Miami and got the 4-3 hidden dual win with a couple more wins against Cincinnati and WKU. We're looking forward to the opportunities to battle against bigger schools next week at Regionals!"

UP NEXT
The Falcons continue their fall season at the 2021 ITA Regionals. BGSU will compete from Friday, Sept. 24 to Sunday, Sept. 26, playing their matches at the University of Illinois. Any qualifiers will advance to the Super Regionals, hosted by Ohio State University from Oct. 22 to Oct. 25.
