A Bowling Green Win Would …Â
Estimating EasternÂ
Eastern Michigan will enter the game against the Falcons having lost their last three games. The Eagles have been bested by Akron (46-44), Kent State (56-47) and Northern Illinois (77-70) over that stretch. Noah Farrakhan leads the Eagles in scoring, averaging 16.2 points per game.Â
Plowden's Big WeekÂ
Last week, the Falcons played three games and Daeqwon Plowden was able to score at least 17 points in each contest. After being held scoreless in the first half against Northern Illinois, Plowden rattled off 17 in the second half. That combined with 20 points against Akron and 23 against Western Michigan gave Plowden an average of 20 points per game for the week. After the scoreless half against NIU, Plowden went on to average 12 points per half the rest of the week.Â
Curtis Embracing Starting RoleÂ
Samari Curtis entered the starting lineup for the Falcons on Nov. 28 against Chicago State and has become a key part of the lineup. Since entering the starting rotation, Curtis is third on the team for points per game, averaging 9.9, and leads the team in assists over that span (43) as well as steals (14).Â
Explosive Offense ContinuesÂ
Over the three games last week the Falcons averaged 80 points per game. That mark helped BGSU maintain an average of 82.9 points per game, the sixth highest scoring offense in the country. The five teams that have a higher average than Bowling Green are Gonzaga (90.2), Arizona (88.7), South Dakota State (87.6), Purdue (84.7) and Iowa (83.1).Â
