Bowling Green Women’s Cross Country Ties for No. 2 in the Nation in Team GPA

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green women's cross country was honored by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) as part of its all-academic team for the 2021 season. BGSU's team GPA in women's cross country was tied for No. 2 in the nation at 3.87. Eastern Washington shared the spot with the Falcons.
In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period.
"That is a phenomenal team GPA," said BGSU head coach Lou Snelling. "I am so proud of the work these young women put in the classroom and on the XC course/track daily. Our expectations are high, and they hold themselves accountable for surpassing them. You see this in many ways here at Bowling Green, you can be a true student-athlete on our campus. Thanks for the countless hours our Student-Athletes Services staff, faculty, and advisors put in fostering this success."
