Falcons Host Oilers For Sunday Showdown

PERRYSBURG, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University tennis program will continue home competition with a non-conference dual against Findlay. The Falcons and Oilers will meet in the Perrysburg Tennis Center on Sunday, Feb. 13, with first serve scheduled for 12 p.m.

Last Time Out
The Falcons were defeated by Indianapolis, 5-2, in their first home match of the season. Selina Karg and Florencia Fuentes earned singles wins for the Orange and Brown, with Annika Vetter and Ines Iglesias adding a win in doubles competition. Karg is 5-4 in singles and 5-3 in doubles this season, with a career mark of 23-5 in singles play. Vetter is 14-10 in combined matches this season, the most victories on the team.

Findlay enters the weekend with a 2-3 record this season and an 0-2 mark in the spring. The Oilers have lost to Toledo and Grand Valley State this month. Findlay will start the weekend with a home match against Ferris State before traveling to Perrysburg to face the Falcons. The Oilers earned the doubles point against GVSU, with duos Laiying Alvarado & Samantha Sweet and Elina Ivanova & Emily Hadler picking up victories.
