Selina Karg Earns MAC Singles Player Of The Week

Selina Karg, Sophomore – Augsburg, Germany
Selina Karg won both of her singles matches this weekend, improving her spring record to 8-4. On Friday, Karg was the first one done on the singles court. Playing in the No. 1 spot, she defeated Oakland's Liza Mladentseva, 6-2, 6-1. On Sunday, Karg clinched the victory for the Falcons by earning the fourth point of the day. Playing in the No. 2 spot, she beat Erika Dimitriev of Northern Illinois by a score of 7-6, 7-5. The triumph helped the Falcons earn a 4-3 victory to open MAC play.
This is the first conference honor of the season for the Falcons and the first MAC recognition of Karg's career. Ana Guadiana and Femke Tjon-A-Joe of Western Michigan were recognized as Doubles Players of the Week.

Up Next
Bowling Green continues MAC play next weekend with one home and one away match. The Falcons travel to Oxford on Friday, March 25, for a 1 p.m. match against Miami (OH). After a day off, BGSU returns home for a 1 p.m. match against Eastern Michigan. The Falcons and Eagles will meet at the Perrysburg Tennis Center on Sunday, March 27.
