KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Bowling Green Falcons dropped a Friday (April 1) morning tennis match to the Western Michigan Broncos, 6-1. The Falcons started the day with a doubles victory, as Selina Karg and Hannah Neuman earned a 6-1 victory in the No. 1 spot. WMU took the other two matches to secure the doubles point.

In singles play, the first three matches favored the Broncos, clinching a victory for the hosts. Ioanna Tsadari notched a win in the No. 2 spot, defeating Ana Guadiana in three sets. Annika Vetter battled for three sets before falling to Karin Hamilton while Maru Poppe split two sets with Femke Tjon-A-Joe before dropping the third set, 10-6.

Karg and Neuman's victory pushes them to 7-6 in the spring and 12-6 in their careers. It was the pair's second consecutive triumph of the MAC campaign. It also marked Karg's 25^th combined win of the 2021-22 season. With her singles win, Tsadari improves to 3-1 in the MAC. She has 27 singles wins in her career, with 13 coming this season. The Falcons drop to 4-11 on the season and 1-3 in the MAC.
