Men's Golf Set For State College This Weekend For Rutherford Intercollegiate

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – The Bowling Green State University men's golf team will be back in action this weekend, as they will be taking part in the 45th-Annual Rutherford Intercollegiate. The two-day event will be played in State College, Pa. at the Penn State Blue Course. The first 36 holes will be played on Saturday (April 16), with the final 18 holes played on Sunday (April 17). The Penn State Blue Course is a par 71 course, totaling 7,202 yards.

The Rutherford Intercollegiate will feature a field of 14 teams for the two-day event. Bowling Green, along with Eastern Michigan, will represent the Mid-American Conference. The rest of the field will fill out with host Penn State, Connecticut, Dayton, George Mason, Georgetown, Loyola (Md.), Maryland, Michigan State, Oakland, Richmond, Saint Mary's and Seton Hall. West Virginia will also be competing at the event, but only in the individual competition.

Tom North

North will be playing in his second event of the week for the Falcons after being the top placing player for BGSU at the Missouri Tiger Invitational earlier this week. North was just four over par, shooting 73, 74, 73 for the tournament.

Connor Gdovin

Like North, Gdovin also played earlier this week in Missouri. Gdovin used just a stroke more than North with scores of 74, 74, 73 to be five over par for the three rounds.

Ian Mackenzie-Olson

Mackenzie-Olson also played for the Falcons earlier this week at the Missouri Tiger Invitational. His best round came during the second set of 18 holes with a 72.

Brady Pevarnik

Pevarnik is the lone Falcon to play this weekend that didn't play in Missouri. Pevarnik's last action came at the Colleton River Collegiate where he logged a career-best 69 in his final round.

Darin Hudak

After not playing at all this spring, Hudak will not be playing in his second event this week. In Missouri, Hudak shot 76, 76, 74 in his first action of the spring season.
