Plethora of PRs as Falcons Compete in Youngstown

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Bowling Green Falcons competed on the road for the first time this season, traveling to Youngstown for the YSU Collegiate Invitational. The Falcons saw multiple PRs on the day, including a 19-6.25 mark in the long jump from first-place finisher Brianna Richard, putting her third in program history. Morgan Patterson also PR'd in the long jump, reaching 19-1.50 and placing third overall. Sabrina Imes matched her PR in the long jump at 17-6.00. Grace Bradtmueller (5th place), Lane Anderson, and Jenna Lucas all threw a PR in the shot put. Bradtmueller and Anderson also added PRs in the weight throw, an event that saw Mateya Haintz place fourth. Adding a top-five finish for the Orange and Brown was Bianca Staples, taking third in the triple jump. The 4x400 relay team of Darian Braddix, DaMya Barker, Ashley Kisor, and Bianca Staples capped the day with a second-place finish for BGSU.

The Falcons will split up for a pair of road meets next weekend. One group of the team will travel to University Park, Pa., for the Penn State National Open. This meet will be held over two days (Jan. 27-28). The second group of Falcons will travel to Geneva, Ohio, for the SPIRE Collegiate Invitational. This will be a one-day event, held on Jan. 27. Falcon Facts
- Brianna Richard won the long jump with a PR of 19-6.25 (5.95m), the third-best mark in program history. The senior now holds two of the top seven long jump marks in BGSU history.
- Morgan Patterson also had a PR in the long jump, reaching 19-1.50 (5.83m).
- Grace Bradtmueller (43-6.00), Lane Anderson (43-2.25), Jenna Lucas (38-2.75) all reached a PR in the shot put.
- Bradtmueller (50-10.25) and Anderson (45-8.50) also added PRs in the weight throw.
- The 4x400 relay team of Darian Braddix, DaMya Barker, Ashley Kisor, and Bianca Staples ran the team's fastest relay of the season (3:54.19).
