
Bowling Green Falls To St. Thomas On Friday Night

Bowling Green, Ohio - The Bowling Green Falcons (2-7-0, 0-1-0 CCHA) fell to the St. Thomas Tommies (5-5-1, 3-2-0 CCHA) by a score of 4-1 on Friday night in Slater Family Ice Arena. Jaden Grant tallied a power-play goal early in the second period, also being the Falcons lone goal. The Tommies found their scoring plays in the first period and added a fourth goal late in the third period.

Bowling Green will look to split the series with St. Thomas in Slater Family Ice Arena Saturday, November 11. Puck drop is set for 7:07 p.m. The game will serve as Heroes Night and Parents Weekend.

Scoring Plays
- Liam Malmquist found the back of the net at 12:24 in the first period. On Stoever's clear attempt behind the goal, the puck bounced off and was free in front of the net. This was the Tommies first shot on goal.
- Cooper Gay added a second goal for the Tommies at 7:50 in the first period. Quinton Pepper set up the puck in front of the Falcons net, Gay came around the left side of the crease and backhanded the puck into the net.
- Liam Malmquist added a second goal on the night at 2:55 late in the second period. Malmquist found the puck in center ice, off a Falcon attempted clear and tallied a short-handed goal for the Tommies.
- Jaden Grant tallied the Falcons lone goal less than a minute into the second period. Grant scored a power-play goal at 19:04 in the second period. Brandon Santa-Juana found Grant open on the left side of the Tommies goal and Grant redirected the puck into the back of the net.
- Mack Byers closed out the scoring on an empty net goal, with 2:58 left in the third period.
- Jaden Grant recorded his first power-play goal of the season and second career power-play goal.
- Brandon Santa-Juana tallied his second assist on the year.
- The Falcons tied their second-best shots on goal, with the first game of the year on October 7th at Robert Morris. The most shots on goal were at Augustana on October 15th (44).
