Falcons Drop Series Finale On Saturday Night

Bowling Green, Ohio - The Bowling Green Falcons (2-8-0, 0-2-0 CCHA) dropped the series finale to the St. Thomas Tommies (6-5-1, 4-2-0 CCHA) by a score of 3-4 on Saturday night in Slater Family Ice Arena. The Tommies and the Falcons went back and forth on scoring plays, until Quinn Emerson responded within seconds to Brody Water's goal in the second period. The Tommies answered with two goals in the third period to clinch the conference win on Saturday night.

Bowling Green will travel to Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan where they are set to face CCHA member, Lake Superior State Lakers. The action will begin on Friday, November 17 at 7:07 p.m. and continue on Saturday, November 18th, puck drop set for 6:07 p.m.

Scoring Plays
- Cooper Gay scored the first goal of the night at 8:18 in the first period. Gay found his own rebound off of the glass and tapped the puck in midair past Stoever.
- Gustav Stjernberg responded shortly after at 3:25 in the first period. Stjernberg was set up to the left of the point and slap shot the puck in for a power-play goal.
- Cooper Gay scored his second goal of the game quickly into the second period at 18:24. Malmquist sent the puck across the ice, in Falcon territory, to Pepper who set up the puck in front of the net to Gay to regain the advantage 2-1.
- Brody Waters found the puck off of Josh Nodler's faceoff and created a clear path to the net. Waters backhanded the puck on the doorstep of the crease to tie the game back up at 12:24 in the second period.
- The Falcons quickly responded at 12:14 in the second period. Off Jaden Grant's faceoff, Quinn Emerson found the puck at the point of the circle. Emerson hit the puck past the Tommies to take the lead, 3-2.
- J.D. Metz found an open net at 16:37 in the first period. Metz received a pass from the boards in front of the net and Stoever found himself out of position to allow an open net for the St.Thomas. This goal started two unanswered goals for the Tommies.
- The Tommies called the game at 2:46 in the third period. St. Thomas pushed the puck into Falcon territory and Stoever attempted to clear the puck far out from the net, Quinton Pepper capitalized on an error and secured the win for the Tommies.
- Gustav Stjernberg recorded his first power-play goal and second career goal, with an assist from Ben Wozney. Both Stjernberg (2g, 1a) and Wozney (1g,2a) have three points on the year.
- Brody Waters recorded his third goal of the season with an assist from Josh Nodler. Waters now sits at second on the Falcons point production with six points (3g,3a) right behind Ryan O'Hara, who has eight points (5g,3a).
- Quinn Emerson recorded his first goal on the season and fourth career goal. Jaden Grant was awarded the assist and tallies four points on the year (2g,2a).
