A Bowling Green Win Would…
Scouting The Bisons
Lipscomb began the Northern Classic with a win over UNC Asheville on Friday (Nov. 24) with an 86-75 final score for the 1 p.m. tip. The Bisons had five players reach double-digit points, led by Will Pruitt's 19. Owen McCormack added a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds while Joe Anderson recorded a team-high four assists in the contest and was the only starter to not tally double-digit points. On the season, three members of the Bison are averaging double-digit points with Derrin Boyd (19.8) leading the team followed by AJ McGinnis (16.3) and McCormack (10.3).Â
Hill-TopperÂ
Against the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers, Bowling Green's Marcus Hill was the game's leading scorer with a season-high 29 points. The game marked Hill's second 20-point game of the season after tallying 26 against Arkansas State and the third time this year he's paced BGSU in points. No stranger to scoring, Hill led the NJCAA in points scored a season ago with 780 and averaged 26 points per game. This year he's averaging 16.6 points per game.
Agee Nearing Career MilestoneÂ
At all levels of collegiate basketball, Rashaun Agee has accumulated 953 career points, leaving him just 47 away reaching 1,000 career points. Of his 953 points, 347 have come in the Orange and Brown. During the 2021-22 campaign, Agee tallied 604 with Casper College. His other two points came at New Mexico State in 2020-21. For his entire career, Agee has averaged 14.4 points per game.Â
Back On The BoardsÂ
For the second time this season, Da'Shawn Phillip led the Falcons in rebounds with nine against Western Kentucky. Earlier this season, Phillip registered a career-high 10 boards against Chicago State in the season-opener. Before joining the Falcons this season, Phillip played three seasons at Maryland Eastern Shore where he averaged 3.5 rebounds per game.
