Women's Soccer Adds Seven to Falcon Family

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Bowling Green State University women's soccer coach Jimmy Walker and the Falcons have announced the addition of seven newcomers to the squad for the coming year. Lilly Boebel (Medina, Ohio), Lauren Mahoney (Medina, Ohio), Cassie Nagy (Concord, Ohio), Payton O'Malley (Pittsburgh, Pa.), Regan Reilly (Latrobe, Pa.), Alexis Tsaprailis (Sarnia, Ontario) and Haley Wolf (Rochester, Mich.) have signed National Letters of Intent to join the Falcon family in the 2024-25 academic year.

"We are very excited about this class," said Walker. "This is a group that is very close already, because they've been able to come on recruiting trips together. They all have good club backgrounds and have played at very high levels. This group will add great talent and quality to our already-successful program."

HIGH SCHOOL
Attends Medina H.S. ('24) ... a four-year letterwinner who helped the Bees to an overall record of 63-9-7 during that time ... had seven goals and 10 assists as a senior, en route to All-Greater Cleveland Conference First-Team honors ... finished her career with totals of 17 goals and 26 assists ... team won the GCC title in 2021 and finished second three times during her tenure ... the Bees won the district championship in 2022 and advanced to the district final in the other three seasons ... ... captained the team as a senior ... also earned two letters in track and field ... "Lilly is a really talented left-sided player. She has a really good left foot, can attack and defend, comes from a really good club background playing in the ECNL. She is a good athlete, a great kid on and off the field, and we're excited to add her to our program."

Lauren is a really talented center midfielder who was recruited by some big programs. "Haley Wolf is a defensive player from Michigan, where she played in Girls Academy for Nationals. She is a good athlete who has good size, good presence. She will add some depth to our defensive unit. Haley was quite a highly-recruited player, and she's a really good person on and off the field. We're glad to have her as a part of this close-knit unit that we've brought on board."

BGSU finished the 2023 season with an overall record of 10-6-2, and the Falcons went 8-1-2 in Mid-American Conference play to place second in the 12-team conference. BGSU has advanced to at least the semifinal round of the MAC Tournament in each of the last seven seasons.

The Falcons, who won four-straight MAC regular-season and tournament titles from 2018-21, have a record of 47-8-6 (.820) in league regular-season play since the start of the 2018 season, which is by far the best mark of any conference school.
