Tsadari and Saraty Named MAC Doubles Team of the Week

Senior duo earned 6-2 victory in No. 1 doubles to lead Falcons to first home win of 2023
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference has recognized three student-athletes as its Women's Tennis Players of the Week, with Bowling Green's Ioanna Tsadari and Eloise Saraty earning MAC Doubles Team of the Week. The senior duo secured the doubles points for the Falcons in the team's 4-3 win over Youngstown State, earning a 6-2 win over at No. 1

MAC Doubles Team of the Week: Ioanna Tsadari and Eloise Saraty, Bowling Green
The doubles duo of Ioanna Tsadari and Eloise Saraty clinched the doubles point for the Falcons on Friday, winning 6-2 over Youngstown State's Cecilia Rosas and Maria Oliveira at No. 1. This was the pair's second victory of the season and it guided BGSU to a 4-3 win at home. As a duo, Tsadari and Saraty are 3-2 in the 2022-23 season, with a 2-1 mark in the spring. As a team, the Falcons have an 11-10 overall doubles record this season.

This is the first MAC recognition for the pair and second of the season for the Falcons. The first honor was awarded to Lucy Furness and Hannah Neuman, who earned MAC Doubles Team of the Week on Jan. 26.
Coach Bonnell's Outlook
"It's good to have Ioanna back. She's a leader. She's a proven winner at this level. Eloise has so much talent, it fits in with Ioanna perfectly. We're really happy for them to get some recognition. They have put in the work. They deserve all the accolades that they will get."

The Falcons play Saturday, Feb. 25, in a neutral site showdown with Northern Kentucky. Bowling Green will travel to Dayton to face the Norse, with first serve set for 4:30 p.m.
