The all-time series falls in favor of the Falcons with a record of 84-68, including five of the last six. In the meeting earlier this season, BGSU claimed an 88-79 victory. Kaden Metheny topped the stat sheet with 25 points with 16 points from Rashaun Agee and Sam Towns logging a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.Â
BGSU Gets Into The MAC Tournament If…Â
A Bowling Green Win Would…Â
Scouting The BobcatsÂ
Ohio enters Friday's game coming off two straight losses after having won six straight, losing to Miami (OH) by 17 and Kent State by seven. The Bobcats currently have the second-highest scoring offense in the MAC, averaging 78.2 points per game this season and 78.7 in MAC play. The high scoring has been a product of success from three. OU is second in three-point percentage during conference play with a clip of 38.6%.Â
Metheny Enters The Record BookÂ
Kaden Metheny etched his name in the BGSU Men's Basketball Record Book on Tuesday. Metheny splashed his 66th three of the season, tying him with Trey Diggs for 10th all-time for three-pointers made in a season. Next up on the list for Metheny to catch is Brian Moten who recorded 69 during the 2008-09 season. Metheny would need three to tie Moten and four to pass. This season, Metheny has made at least three triples in a game 12 times and has had four or more nine times.Â
Curtis Eyeing Program RecordÂ
Samari Curtis is currently 18th in the nation, and second in the MAC, for free throw percentage with a mark of 88.9%, going 112-of-126 from the line. Curtis has improved his percentage at the line by 21.8 percentage points from a year ago. The current program record for a single season is 88.4% by Clinton Venable during the 1989-90 season.Â
Curtis Filling The Stat Sheet In 2022-23Â
Over the course of the season, Samari Curtis has recorded 118 assists and 95 rebounds, leading the team in assists and fifth in rebounds. If Curtis can reach 100 rebounds on the season, he would be the first Falcon to have 100+ assists and rebounds in a season since Justin Turner had 109 assists and 107 rebounds in 2020-21. Curtis' 118 assists are also the most by a Falcon since Ismail Ali totaled 130 during the 2015-16 campaign.Â
Falcons On National TV
With the regular season finale being aired on CBS Sports Network, the Falcons have now had a nationally televised game in eight straight seasons, dating back to the 2015-16 campaign and covering the entirety of the Coach Huger Era with 21 games being picked up nationally over the eight-year span.Â

BGSU Gets Into The MAC Tournament If…Â
- BGSU Win (6-12), Miami Loss (6-12), Central Michigan Loss (5-13)
- At 5-13, Central Michigan wouldn't factor into the tiebreakers in this scenario.Â
- If Eastern Michigan wins, BGSU would take the three-team tiebreaker against Miami and EMU with a record of 3-1 (.750) against the two teams, whereas both Miami and EMU would be 1-2 (.333) against the others.Â
- If Eastern Michigan loses, it would be a two-team tiebreaker between BGSU and Miami. BGSU and Miami split the season series, so it would go to the head-to-head against MAC standings. BGSU's top win would be Ohio, Miami's would be Buffalo. Ohio and Buffalo would also be in a tiebreaker, both at 9-9 and a split season series. Ohio's best win is Akron, who is locked into a higher spot than Buffalo's top win Ball State. Thus, tiebreaker goes to Ohio, which results in the tiebreaker going to BGSU. In this scenario, NIU would also be 9-9, but they were swept by both Ohio and Buffalo and wouldn't factor into the tiebreaker to determine the standings.Â
- BGSU Win, Miami Loss, Central Michigan Win, Eastern Michigan Win
- If CMU wins, BGSU will need an EMU win as well. In a four-team tiebreaker with all teams at 6-12, this would go to the head-to-head records against all tied teams. Bowling Green would be 4-2 (.667) and the next would be Central at 3-2 (.600). If CMU wins and EMU loses, Central Michigan would take the three-team tiebreaker between BGSU, Miami and CMU. CMU won the only Miami-CMU game, making them 2-1 (.667) whereas Bowling Green would be 2-2 (.500) and Miami would be 1-2 (.333).
A Bowling Green Win Would…Â
- Sweep the season series against Ohio.
- Keep Bowling Green's MAC Tournament hopes alive.
- Close out the regular season with back-to-back wins.Â
- Move BGSU's record against Ohio to 10-5 under Coach Huger.
- End the regular season with a win for BGSU for the first time since 2012-13 (76-65 win over Buffalo on March 8, 2013).
