Ioanna Tsadari Named MAC Scholar Athlete of the Week

Senior won all four spring break matches as Falcon win streak reached five matches
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference has recognized two student-athletes as its Scholar Athlete for the week of March 13. Bowling Green's Ioanna Tsadari earned MAC Female Scholar Athletes of the Week. The senior was a combined 4-0 over spring break, helping the Falcons extend their win streak to five matches. Tsadari maintains a 3.816 GPA as she pursues her degree in Marketing.
MAC Female Scholar Athlete of the Week: Ioanna Tsadari, Senior, Bowling Green
Bowling Green senior Ioanna Tsadari helped the Falcons extend their win streak to five matches with an undefeated week in Florida. She won at No. 1 singles in both matches, with her 6-3, 6-1 win over Ave Maria's Lara Teodoro proving to be the difference-maker in BGSU's 4-3 win. The following morning, she took another 6-3, 6-1 win, this time over Providence's Katie Mulvey, helping the Falcons to a 5-2 victory. Tsadari also won both No. 1 doubles matches, pairing with Eloise Saraty to earn a 6-1 win over AMU and a 7-5 win over PC.
A native of Athens, Greece, Tsadari has a 3.816 GPA as she pursues her degree in marketing. She was a 2022 first-team All-MAC selection and earned MAC Doubles Team of the Week with Eloise Saraty on Feb. 23. This is the first time a Falcon Tennis player has earned MAC Scholar-Athlete of the Week since March 26, 2014, when Nikki Chiricosta was honored. Tsadari is the first BGSU student-athlete to be named Scholar-Athlete of the Week since Maya Dean of women's soccer, who was recognized on Nov. 2, 2022.
