Tsadari, Saraty, Furness, and Fonseca each score a point for Bowling Green
AVE MARIA, Fla. – The Bowling Green Falcons (5-5, 0-0 MAC) extended their win streak to four matches, earning a 4-3 victory over the Ave Maria Gyrenes (1-3, 0-0 Sun). The Falcons have won all four matches by a score of 4-3, with all four points coming through singles wins today. Ioanna Tsadari, Lucy Furness, and Leticia Fonseca each won in two sets, then Eloise Saraty came from behind to win in three sets and clinch the win for the Orange and Brown.
Tsadari tallied a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles, her 35th career singles victory. The senior has 15 combined wins this season, ranking second on the team. At No. 2, Eloise Saraty recovered from an opening-set loss to take the next two, marking her fourth consecutive win. She dropped the opening frame, 5-7, but battled back to win 6-4, 6-3. In the last four matches, she has a combined record of 8-0. She is 6-0 when playing No. 2 singles and has a team-best 20 combined wins this season.
Lucy Furness notched a 6-3, 6-4 win at No. 3, marking her 13th combined victory of the season, the third-most on the team. Fonseca's 7-6 (4), 6-4 win at No. 6 is her fourth consecutive victory. She has a 5-1 record when playing No. 6 singles.
