Eloise Saraty Named MAC Singles Player of the Week

Award for week of Feb. 20; senior earned crucial singles win in Falcon victory
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference has recognized three student-athletes as its Women's Tennis Players of the Week for the week of Feb. 20. Bowling Green's Eloise Saraty earned MAC Singles Player of the Week. The senior tallied a two-set singles win to help BGSU defeat Northern Kentucky, 4-3, on Feb. 25.
MAC Singles Player of the Week: Eloise Saraty, Bowling Green
Eloise Saraty helped the Bowling Green Falcons to a neutral-site victory over Northern Kentucky, winning her No. 2 singles match over Ashlee Fisk by a score of 7-5, 6-3. Saraty has a 4-0 record when playing No. 2 singles this spring. Her triumph was one of four singles wins for the Falcons, who tallied a 4-3 win over the Norse.
This is the second MAC recognition of the year for Saraty, who previously shared Doubles Team of the Week honors with Ioanna Tsadari. This is the third honor of the season for the Falcons. The first honor was awarded to Lucy Furness and Hannah Neuman, who earned MAC Doubles Team of the Week on Jan. 26. Saraty is the first Falcon to earn Singles Player of the Week this season. She is a combined 8-0 in the last four matches.

Following a brief break, Bowling Green returns to action with the non-conference finale against Oakland on Saturday, March 18. This match starts at 4:30 p.m. ET. The next day (March 19), BGSU opens MAC play with a 1 p.m. ET home match against Northern Illinois.
