Falcons Fall to Broncos Despite Dominant Doubles Duos

Tsadari and Saraty, Furness and Neuman win at top two spots for Bowling Green
PERRYSBURG, Ohio – The Bowling Green Falcons (6-15, 0-9 MAC) dropped the weekend opener to the Western Michigan Broncos (13-8, 4-5 MAC) on Friday (April 21) by a score of 5-2. It took the Falcons just 30 minutes to win the day's first point, taking a pair of doubles matches to begin the match. Lucy Furness and Hannah Neuman earned a 6-2 win over Kaitlyn Rogosch and Ariane Souligny at No. 2, putting their record at 9-7 when playing No. 2 doubles.
Just minutes later, Eloise Saraty and Ioanna Tsadari won over Lindsey Zielgar and Valeriya Monko, 6-3, at No. 1. This was Saraty's team-best 28th win of the season and marked Tsadari's 80th career victory. Both doubles duos now have 10 doubles wins this spring, sharing the team lead. Tsadari and Saraty are tied for first on the team in combined MAC wins with seven. In singles, Hannah Neuman and Kaitlyn Rogosch split the first two sets, both 6-4. Before the tiebreak set, Rogosch retired, giving Neuman her 15th career singles win and fifth of the spring.
