Kayla Davis Named MAC Female Scholar-Athlete of the Week

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Bowling Green State University women's golfer Kayla Davis has been named MAC Female Scholar-Athlete of the Week for events through Sun., April 23.
Davis (Sr., Gahanna, Ohio), an adolescence to young adult education major with a 3.923 GPA, capped off one of the finest seasons in BGSU golf history by tying for second among individuals at the 2023 MAC Championship, and winning the MAC's Sportswoman of the Year, as voted on by all the competitors at the Championship. Davis shot a 219 en route to posting the best finish by a Falcon at the MAC Championships since 2015.
Additionally, Davis (broke her own BGSU record for lowest score in a MAC Championship. In all competitions, her 219 is the third-lowest 54-hole score in program history. She led the tournament with 11 birdies. Davis broke the BGSU single-season record with a 75.4 scoring average per round.
