December 05, 2025 | Women's Golf
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Head Coach Erin Fahey of the BGSU women's golf team has announced the team's schedule for the 2026 spring season. The team will begin play in early February, hosting the BGSU Women's Intercollegiate in Litchfield Park, Ariz., and the spring season will culminate in late April with the MAC Championships hosted by Kent State University.
The Falcons will look to build on their impressive fall season, as they earned top five finishes in each of their four fall tournaments, including a first-place finish at the A-Ga-Ming Invitational.
The Falcons will open play in Arizona, as they host the BGSU Women's Intercollegiate in Litchfield Park on Feb. 10-11. The Falcons will be joined by fellow MAC teams Central Michigan, Northern Illinois, and Toledo among others. Last year, the Falcons shot a 911 at the Women's Intercollegiate, finishing fourth out of fourteen teams.
The following week, the Falcons will remain in Arizona for the Rio Verde Collegiate, hosted by Western Michigan on Feb. 20-22. Other MAC schools competing in the Rio Verde include Akron, Ball State, Central Michigan, Ohio and Western Michigan.
Following the Arizona trip, the Falcons will travel to Abilene, Tex., for the West Texas Classic hosted by Abilene Christian University on Mar. 2-3. Last year, the Falcons shot a 619 in the two-round tournament, finishing sixth out of 16 teams in the field.
Bowling Green will then head back down south at the end of March to Johns Creek, Ga., for the Georgia State Invitational on Mar. 30-31. In Johns Creek, Bowling Green will be joined by familiar Ohio schools Dayton and Ohio University. The team will look to improve on last year's eight place finish out of the 15-team field.
The Falcons will then return to their home course of Stone Ridge Golf Club in Bowling Green to host the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational on Apr. 11-12. Teams competing in the Black Falcon include Central Michigan, Dayton, Detroit Mercy, Loyola-Chicago, Niagara, Northern Kentucky, Oakland, Wisconsin-Green Bay and Xavier. Bowling Green was victorious at the Black Falcon in the spring of 2025, as they shot a 586 over two rounds.
The Black Falcon marks the last regular season tournament prior to the 2026 MAC Championships, which will be hosted by Kent State on Apr. 26-28 at Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio.
