Falcons Set To Renew Program's Longest Rivalry With The Battle Of I-75 Saturday

Falcons, Rockets Scheduled For 2 p.m. Tip At Savage Arena
TOLEDO, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University men's basketball team will add another edition to the Battle of I-75 on Saturday (Jan. 27) at Savage Arena. The Falcons and rival Rockets are scheduled for a 2 p.m. tip in the latest meeting of the program's longest rivalry. The game will be broadcasted on ESPN+ with a radio stream available through WFRO Eagle 99.
Opening Tip
The Falcons and Rockets will be meeting for the 181st time, the most against any opponent for BGSU with the series dating back to 1915-16. The Falcons enter with the top-ranked offense during MAC play, averaging 81.6 points per game, with Toledo third, averaging 78.3. Going into Saturday, Toledo is ranked second in the MAC with Bowling Green close behind in a tie for third.

Scouting The Rockets
Over the course of the season, Toledo has produced the highest-scoring offense in the MAC, averaging 78.7 points per game. That mark has dropped slightly to 78.3 in MAC play, third in the conference. For the season, Toledo has the second-best field goal percentage in the MAC (46.8%) and the best free throw percentage (76.2%). The Rockets also lead the conference in steals per game with a mark of 7.32, including the conference leader Tyler Cochran with 2.1 steals per game. As for points, Ra'Heim Moss tops the scoring charts, averaging 16.5 points per game, seventh in the conference.

Bowling Green and Toledo will be meeting for the 181st time in program history, the longest rivalry for the Falcons. The series dates back to the 1915-16 season with Toledo leading the all-time series with a record of 97-83. The home team holds the advantage no matter the host, but the last win for the Orange and Brown over Toledo came inside Savage Arena on Feb. 13, 2021 by a score of 88-81.
Agee's Double-Doubles
Over the last 11 games, Rashaun Agee has tallied eight double-doubles for the Falcons, working his way up to a tie for 22nd in the nation. He's also finished a rebound shy of two more double-doubles during the 11-game stretch. Agee now leads the MAC in offensive rebounds and is tied for 18th in the nation. He needs one double-double to become the first Falcon since Damajeo Wiggins (2018-19) with four-straight double-doubles.
