BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University swimming and diving team is set to take on the Eagles of Eastern Michigan in Ypsilanti this Friday at 5 p.m.
Featured Falcons
The Falcons' last meet saw two personal bests from the Falcon divers. Both Evie Long and Cassidy Daugherty dove to lifetime bests in the 1-Meter Diving event. Long's score was good enough for an event win and a zone qualifying score. Senior captain Rayah Blood also added her own event win thanks to a score of 291.00 in the 3-Meter diving.
The swimmers were led mostly by their underclassmen. Four Falcon underclassmen left the dual meet with a second-place finish. Freshman Joanna Robertson continued the strong start to her collegiate career placing second in the 200 Freestyle with a time of 1:54.87. Grace Bodrock then added a second-place finish in the 100 Butterfly and was followed by second place finishes in the 100 Freestyle and 100 Backstroke respectively by Elayna Krupp and Emily McNicol. Ava Vial was the lone senior to place second in an event on the day finishing second in the 200 IM.
