MACtion Returns to Doyt Perry Stadium
• Bowling Green State University hosts the Western Michigan Broncos on Tuesday night in a battle for first place in the MAC. Both teams are tied for the top spot in the standings with Miami (OH) and Ohio.
• Tuesday's game is a "Black Out" and fans are encouraged to wear black.
• The contest will be broadcast on ESPN2.
Bowling Green vs. WMU
• Bowling Green and Western Michigan are meeting for the third consecutive year and ninth time over the last 19 seasons.
• Bowling Green has lost six of its last nine games to WMU, dating back to 2005. All three wins during that span came during mid-week MACtion games (2015, 2022, 2023).
• Tuesday marks the 58th all-time meeting between Bowling Green and Western Michigan in a series that began in 1954.
Five Top Storylines
• A win Tuesday for the Falcons would extend their winning streak to four games. It would be BG's second four-game winning streak (2023) since a seven-game streak from Sept. 26 to Nov. 11, 2015.
• TE Harold Fannin Jr. leads all tight ends nationally in receptions (73), receiving yards (1,033), yards after catch (585), first downs (49), and broken tackles (24). He's also tied for first in receiving touchdowns (6). According to Pro Football Focus, Fannin has the nation's highest overall grade (96.1) and ranks No. 1 in pass routes grade (96.3) among all receivers. He's also ranked No. 2 in receptions, receiving yards, broken tackles, and first downs, and No. 1 in yards after catch.
• Fannin is only the 16th tight end in FBS history to reach 1,000 receiving yards in a season. He needs 126 more receiving yards to become the 33rd FBS tight end with 2,000+ career receiving yards, and three receptions to break the BGSU career tight end receptions record.
• QB Connor Bazelak has passed for 2,022 yards this season. This marks his fourth career season with 2,000+ passing yards, tying him for No. 3 all-time in FBS history. He fell just 65 yards short of 2,000 in 2023; reaching it would have tied Bo Nix and Dillon Gabriel for the FBS record with five 2,000+ yard seasons. Bazelak needs just 43 passing yards to become the 16th Falcon with 4,000 yards while wearing the Orange and Brown.
• RB Terion Stewart broke 14 tackles and averaged 6.35 yards after contact in his last outing at Central Michigan. He finished with 117 rushing yards and is now tied with P.J. Pope for No. 9 in program history with nine career games of 100+ rushing yards.

• Since 2000, Bowling Green is 2-0 against WMU when holding the Broncos below 300 yards of total offense and 4-2 when holding them below 400 yards.
• Bowling Green is 4-3 against WMU since 2000 when the Falcons accumulate 400+ yards of total offense.
• Bowling Green is 4-0 against WMU since 2000 when the Falcons win the turnover battle. They are 1-6 when they don't and 1-1 when the turnovers are even.
Bowling Green - WMU connections
• BGSU co-defensive coordinator and inside linebackers coach Steve Morrison coached at Western Michigan from 2005-09. He served as linebackers coach from 2006-07 and defensive coordinator from 2008-09.
• Former BGSU football player Jack Harbaugh, father of NFL head coaches Jim (Chargers) and John (Ravens), was head coach of Western Michigan from 1982-86. Harbaugh, a member of BGSU's 1959 National Championship team, was part of the 1959 team inducted into the BGSU Hall of Fame in 2013.
Fannin Reaches 1,000 Receiving Yards on the Season
• Tight end Harold Fannin Jr. became the 12th Falcon all-time, and the 16th FBS tight end, to record 1,000+ receiving yards in a season. He currently has 1,033 yards, tying him with Gehrig Dieter (2015) for No. 10 on BGSU's single-season list.
• Fannin's 114.8 receiving yards per game ranks second in BGSU history, behind only Freddie Barnes' 2009 mark of 136.2 yards per game when the former wide receiver set the NCAA FBS record for receptions in a season (155).
Stewart is Hard to Bring Down
• RB Terion Stewart is tough to bring down. Despite missing games against Penn State and Akron, Stewart is tied for No. 10 nationally among players with 100 carries in yards after contact per attempt, averaging 4.25.
• Stewart ranks No. 2 in the nation with 7.86 broken tackles per game. He has broken 55 tackles over seven games, which ties him for No. 4 nationally. However, all other players with at least 35 broken tackles have played at least eight games.
• Stewart forced 11 missed tackles in the season opener against Fordham, the fourth most nationally after Week 1.
• In his last game at Central Michigan, Stewart forced 14 missed tackles and averaged 6.35 yards after contact.
Oladokun Will Put You on Lockdown
• Jordan Oladokun is one of seven players this season with 20+ tackles, 2+ interceptions, 5+ PBUs and at least one pick-sick. He joines Charles Brantley (Michigan State), Ra'Mello Dotson (Kansas), Theran Johnson (Northwestern), D'Angelo Pounds (Indiana), Chandler Rivers (Duke) and Justin Walley (Minnesota).
• Per Pro Football Focus, Oladokun is No. 11 in the nation among corners with 200 coverage snaps in receptions allowed per target (39.5 percent). He was the No. 2 graded corner in the nation per PFF against Toledo (Oct. 26) and was named to their National Team of the Week after securing two interceptions, two pass breakups and returning an INT 61 yards for a touchdown.
• During BGSU's current three-game winning streak, Oladokun has allowed four receptions for 19 yards on 16 targets. He has three pass breakups and two interceptions.
No Fly Zone
• Bowling Green ranked No. 12 in the nation in passing defense at 179.8 yards yielded per game last year.
• The Falcons are at it again. They enter Tuesday's game No. 13 in the nation in passing defense at 168.3 yards yielded per game.
