Falcons Travel To Youngstown For Split Weekend

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University Tennis (2-2, 0-0 MAC) team will continue the Spring portion of their schedule this weekend (Saturday, Feb. 10-Sunday, Feb.11) where they will face Slippery Rock (1-0, 0-0 PSAC) and Youngstown State University (1-5, 0-0 CSUN). Both matches will take place at the YSU Indoor Tennis Center in Youngstown, Ohio. First serve for Saturday is set for 2:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Sunday. Bowling Green hosted University of Illinois Chicago on Saturday, Feb. 3 in Perrysburg Tennis Center. The Falcons fell 2-5, clinching the doubles point and going 1-6 in singles competition. Tia Clemens was the lone Falcon that secured a singles point, defeating Zara Ryan (6-3, 2-6, 7-6, 7-5). Furness/Neuman defeated Gustafsson/Ushio (6-3) and Clemens/Chaffee defeated Ryan/Brion (7-6).

Slippery Rock opened their Spring season last weekend where they faced Carnegie Mellon and took home the win (5-4). While Youngstown is 1-5 on their season and has seen one win against Niagara (5-2).
