
Falcons Return Home For Two Weekend Matches

PERRYSBURG, Ohio - The Bowling Green Falcons (6-5, 0-0 MAC) return home this weekend for two matches in Perrysburg Tennis Center. The Falcons are set to open MAC play on Friday, March 15 when they face the Buffalo Bulls at 1:00 p.m. The Orange and Brown will return to the courts on Sunday, March 17. The Falcons will face the Oakland Golden Grizzlies at 1:00 p.m. Both matches to be held in Perrysburg Tennis Center admission and parking are free.Â
Last Time Out: Falcons Compete Down SouthÂ
The Bowling Green Falcons competed in their first spring break match on Monday afternoon (Mar. 4), picking up a 6-1 win over the University of Mary. The Falcons clinched the doubles point, grabbing a win in each flight. Furness and Neuman extended their doubles win streak to nine with the 6-3 win over Chong and Freitag (UMary).
The Falcons returned to the USTA National Campus on Tuesday (Mar. 5) where they fell 2-5 to Howard. The Falcons started the evening, dropping the doubles point 2-1. Tsadari and Saraty secured a win at the No.3 spot in a commending 6-2 final score. Hannah Neuman clinched a win for the Falcons at the No. 2 spot defeating Stibbins (HU) 6-2 in both sets. Brynn Chaffee won the No. 6 flight in three sets, securing the second point for the Orange and Brown. Chaffee took the first set, 6-3 and then dropped the second in a tiebreaker. Chaffee then finished the third set out in a 10-6 style.Â
BG finished out their competition in Florida with a 4-3 win over North Carolina A&T University. Concluding the weekend with a 2-1 record and improving their overall record to 6-5 on the season.Â
Opponent Outlook
Buffalo is currently 13-4 on the season, including fall competition. The Bulls last took the court on Thursday, Mar. 7 where they fell to Syracuse 1-6. This will be the first conference match for the Bulls as well.
While Oakland is 4-6 on the season and have not started their conference play (Horizon). The Golden Grizzlies competed last weekend on the road, dropping to Michigan State (0-4) and picking up a win at Davenport (5-2).Â

The Falcons will compete in their first away MAC competitions next weekend. BGSU Tennis will travel to Kalamazoo, Michigan on Friday, Mar. 22 to face Western Michigan. The Falcons will end the weekend on Sunday, Mar. 24 against Toledo at 1:00 p.m.Â
