Tia Clemens Named Recipient of Leann Grimes Davidge Sportsmanship Award

CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Mid-American Conference announced the 2024 women's tennis awards today (Apr. 25). The eight league Head Coaches voted on the All-MAC First and Second Teams, as well as the Coach of the Year, Player of the Year, Freshman of the Year and Leann Grimes Davidge Sportsmanship award.Â
Freshman Tia Clemens was named the Leann Grimes Davidge Sportsmanship award recipient. Clemens concluded the 2024 season recording a 13-12 singles overall record and 3-7 in the MAC. Clemens started the season at number five and dropped to four mid-season, she competed at number three for conference matches. In doubles Clemens went 6-12 overall with partner Brynn Chaffee at number three. Clemens partnered with Ioanna Tsadari for the Western Michigan match, resulting in 4-6 loss.Â
