Bowling Green Hosts the Chippewas Saturday
• Bowling Green State University continues its homestand on Saturday when the Central Michigan Chippewas visit Doyt Perry Stadium for the first time since 2019.
• This will be the 45th meeting between the Falcons and Chippewas in a series that began in 1924.
• Saturday is Family Weekend at BGSU.
• BGSU will also honor the 1985 MAC Championship football team.
Bowling Green vs. CMU
• Bowling Green and Central Michigan will meet for the 11th time this century, with Saturday marking just the fourth meeting at Doyt Perry Stadium. BGSU has hosted CMU only three times (2003, 2009, 2019) since 2000, while playing in Mount Pleasant in 2022 and 2024 since the Chippewas' last visit to BG.
• The Falcons have won nine of the last 12 meetings but have not defeated CMU at Doyt Perry Stadium since 2003.
• Saturday will be the 45th all-time meeting between Bowling Green and Central Michigan. The Falcons lead the all-time series, 25–19.
• Since 2000, Bowling Green is 3-0 against CMU when holding the Chippewas below 300 total yards of offense and 3-0 when gaining 400+ yards. Additionally, BGSU is 5-1 against CMU when winning the turnover battle, 2-2 when not, and 0-0 when turnovers are even.
Five Top Storylines
• RB Cameron Pettaway ranks No. 1 in the nation in kick return average (35.1). He also leads the country in kick returns of 30+ yards (5), 40+ yards (3), and 50+ yards (2). Pettaway's 35.1-yard average ranks No. 15 in FBS history (since 1995) for best kick return average through a season's first six games (min. 10 returns).
• LB Gideon Lampron is the only player in the nation with 55+ tackles, 8.0+ TFLs, 1.5+ sacks, and 1+ pass defended. He was named MAC Co-Defensive POW on Monday (Oct. 13) after his efforts in the win over Toledo (13 tackles, 10 solo tackles, 3.5 TFLs).
• CB MJ Cannon is the only defensive back in the nation with 34+ tackles, 1.0+ sack, 1+ interception, 1+ fumble recovery, and 3.5+ TFLs.

• PK Jackson Kleather is tied for No. 6 in the nation with 12 made field goals. He is also one of five FBS players with three made field goals of 49 yards or longer, joining Rudy Kessinger (Eastern Michigan), Tate Sandell (Oklahoma), Gianni Spetic (Memphis), and Drew Stevens (Iowa).
Explosive Plays
• Despite the loss at Ohio (Sept. 27), BGSU recorded nine plays of 20+ yards.
• On the season, the Falcons have 32 plays of 20+ yards or longer — meaning the Ohio game accounted for 28.1 percent of the 2025 total.
Double-Threat
• BGSU RB Kaderris Roberts is one of only 19 FBS players with 200+ rushing yards and 100+ receiving yards while also posting 15+ receptions and 40+ rushing attempts.
• Roberts, who spent most of his career at Stetson, was at Tennessee State under Coach George in 2024 but did not play.

• Pettaway's 721 all-purpose yards also rank No. 11 in BGSU single-season history through six games (since 1995) and No. 24 nationally this season.
Caden Marshall is Next Man Up
• LB Caden Marshall has stepped into the starting rotation following the season-ending injury to LB Dorian Pringle. Marshall has totaled 16 tackles, 2.0 TFLs, 1.0 sack, and 3 PBU in four games.
• Marshall is averaging 0.5 TFLs per game, which ranks tied for No. 4 nationally among freshman linebackers.
• Marshall is the only freshman defensive players (true or redshirt) with at least 16 tackles, 2.0+ TFLs, and 3+ PBU this season. This is with Marshall only playing four games.
• Pringle suffered his season-ending injury against Liberty (Game 3). At the time, he led the nation with 6.0 TFLs and still ranks No. 35 nationally despite missing the last two games.
