Bowling Green Heads to Cleveland for Magnus Invitational

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Bowling Green women's swimming and diving team heads to Cleveland this weekend for the Magnus Cup Invitational at Busbey Natatorium. The three-day meet runs Thursday through Saturday, with prelims at 9 a.m., diving at 1 p.m. and finals at 6 p.m.
Women's finals will feature D, C, B and A heats. Diving events include the one meter on Thursday, three meter on Friday and a team event Saturday.
Bowling Green (8-0, 2-0) enters with a historic start, opening the season with eight straight dual-meet wins for the first time since 1970-71. The Falcons most recently topped UTRGV 273-161.
BGSU will be tested by MAC foe Akron, which is 2-1 overall and 2-0 in league competition. The Zips opened the year by winning the Zips Classic with 1,298 points and have earned victories over Eastern Michigan and Miami (Ohio), with their lone loss coming against Pittsburgh.
Northern Colorado, Binghamton, Cleveland State, John Carroll, Le Moyne, St. Bonaventure and Xavier round out the field, giving Bowling Green a deep and competitive midseason challenge.
