Falcons to play five contests in Florida from Feb. 27-March 1
MADEIRA BEACH, Fla. – The tournament field and matchups have been announced for the 2026 Make It Happen Games. The Bowling Green State University softball team will play five games in the tournament from Friday, Feb. 27, to Sunday, March 1.
The tournament will take place at R.O.C. Park in Madeira Beach, Fla., with a total of 10 teams participating. In addition to the Falcons, the field includes Bellarmine University, Bethune-Cookman University, Colgate University, Illinois State University, Monmouth University, Siena College, the University at Albany, the University of Massachusetts (UMass), and the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC).

The Falcons will play a pair of games on Friday, Feb. 27, meeting Illinois State at 12:30 p.m. and UIC in a 3:00 p.m. first pitch. Saturday's (Feb. 28) action sees BGSU playing at those same times, with the matchups coming against a pair of foes from the state of New York, Albany (12:30 p.m.) and Colgate (3:00 p.m.).
On Sunday (March 1), the Orange and Brown will conclude tournament action with a 9:00 a.m. game vs. Bethune-Cookman.

PARTICIPATING TEAMS
Bellmarine Knights
The Knights went 7-34 in the 2025 season. A member of the ASUN, the Knights graduated a lot of key players but return several notable members of the team and have seven first-years on the this year's roster.

Senior Madison Davis is the top returner at the plate for the Knights, finishing last season with a .250 average. She made 31 starts in 35 appearances, recording 19 hits with four doubles while scoring seven runs and driving in three.

Senior Jacklyn Zuege played and started in 37 games. She rounded out the season with a .208 batting average, recording 21 hits with three doubles. Zuege also scored 14 runs and tallied 11 RBI.

Although Bellarmine's top pitchers from last season all graduated, two of their returners saw action in double-digit games. Junior Selena Zuniga made 18 appearances with a 5.51 ERA, going 1-1 with 40.2 innings pitched. She struck out 11 along the way. Senior Elli Jensen appeared in 11 games with a 7.0 ERA, striking out five batters.

Bethune-Cookman Wildcats
The Wildcats finished 2025 with a 23-31 record including a 14-10 record in the Southwestern Athletic Conference. They fell to Florida A&M in the SWAC Tournament.

Senior Emma Bradley-Tse led the team with a .353 average a season ago, playing in 54 games with 53 starts. She recorded 59 hits with three doubles, 31 runs scored and 27 RBI. Sophomore Molly Blackwood returns after finishing sixth among the Wildcats with a .260 average. She played in 47 games with 35 starts, recording 27 hits with three doubles, one triple and one homerun. She also scored 13 runs and recorded 22 RBI.

In the circle, junior Sofia Coleman posted a 4.98 ERA, making 14 appearances with six starts. She pitched 39.1 innings with 15 strikeouts.

Bowling Green Falcons
The Falcons finished 16-36 in 2025 and posted a 7-19 record in the Mid-American Conference. Senior Hannah Hunt led the squad at the plate last season, starting all 52 games and posting a .366 batting average. She had 60 hits including 13 doubles, one triple and four homers while scoring 29 runs and recording 30 RBI.

Redshirt sophomore Addie Martin finished with a .338 batting average after starting all 52 games. She tallied 54 hits including six doubles, three triples a team-best 13 homers. Martin scored a team-high 43 runs and had a team-high 36 RBI. Additionally, she led the Falcons with 15 stolen bases in 16 attempts.

Senior Mackenzie Krafcik finished the 2025 campaign with a team-low 4.09 ERA. She appeared in 33 games with 16 starts, firing three complete games and racking up 113.0 innings pitched.

Colgate Raiders
The Raiders went 18-33 in 2025 with a 6-12 mark in the Patriot League. Sophomore Analisa Raffaelli is the top returning batter from the 2025 slate, averaging a .275 average, which was second on the team. She played and started in 50 games for the Raiders, collecting 44 hits with six doubles, two triples and a team-high nine homers, scoring 31 runs and driving in 25.

Sophomore Lily Haluska averaged a .233 in 2025, third among the Raiders. She played and started in 51 games with 30 hits with three doubles, one triple and six homers, scored 18 runs and recorded 24 RBI.

Senior Maya Servidio is the top returning pitcher for Colgate, pitching a team-low 4.29 ERA. She made 34 appearances in the circle with 27 starts, pitching nine complete games with one shutout. Servidio also had one save and pitched 143.2 innings with 102 strikeouts.

Illinois State Redbirds
The Redbirds finished the 2025 season 24-30 with a 16-11 mark in the Missouri Valley Conference.

Although Illinois State graduated its top three batters, junior Julia Larson played and started in 54 games, ranking fourth on the team with a .264 average. She recorded 42 hits with eight doubles and four triples, scoring 23 runs and recording 17 RBI. In the field, she made just two errors on the year for a .979 fielding percentage.

Junior Adisyn Hopkins ranked fifth on the team with a .238 batting average, recording 34 hits with four doubles and two homeruns. She scored 19 runs and recorded 15 RBI, starting in 46 games of the 51 play.

Senior pitcher Hannah Meshnick made 38 appearances in the circle with 25 starts, pitching 10 complete games for a 13-11 record. She finished the 2025 season with a 3.34 ERA, recording two shutouts and making three saves. Meshnick pitched 176.0 innings, striking out a team-high 91 batters.

Monmouth Hawks
The Hawks finished 2025 with an 11-42 record, with a 7-20 record in the CAA. Monmouth returns its top batter from last season in Liv Smith. She posted a .294 average, playing in 42 games with 40 starts. Smith recorded 30 hits with two triples, 14 runs scored and eight RBI.

Sophomore Claire Picone ranked second among the Hawks with a .280 batting average, playing 41 games with 33 starts. She had 26 hits with seven doubles, recording 10 RBI and scoring 14 runs. Junior Sammy Miller was third on the team with a .248 average, playing in 43 games with 39 starts. She recorded 26 hits and scored 17 runs.

All four pitchers that saw action are back. Senior Jayla Cadena made 32 appearances with 11 starts with a team-low 6.25 ERA. She pitched two complete games with a shutout in 112.0 innings of work. She struck out 30 batters along the way. Junior Izzy Bonacci played in 27 games with 13 appearances and finished with a 6.37 ERA. She pitched four complete games and struck out 43 batters. Junior Olivia Lewis made 43 appearances with 28 starts, recording a 7.57 ERA. She pitched seven complete games with one shutout, striking out 54.

The Saints posted a 36-21-1 record including a 16-7-1 record in MAAC play. The lost to Marist in the MAAC championship.

Senior infielder Emma Petersen returns as the top batter from last year's team. She finished 2025 with a .333 batting average, which was second among the Saints. She played and started in 58 games with 60 hits including 21 doubles, one single and six homeruns. Petersen recorded 30 runs and 44 RBI.

Sophomore Megan Klein ranked third on the team with a .323 batting average. She played in 36 games with 22 starts, recording 21 hits with 19 runs and six RBI.

Junior Gracie Goewey ranked fifth with a batting average of .296 after playing in 58 games with 57 starts. She had 50 hits with nine doubles, four triples and six homeruns. Goeway scored 38 runs and recorded 32 RBI. Goeway also had a team-low 2.06 ERA in the circle, finishing with an 11-2 record after making 25 appearances with nine starts. She pitched six complete games with two shutouts, making one save and striking out 109 batters.

The Great Danes finished the 2025 season with a 20-26 record, posting a 9-8 record in the America East. They fell to Bryant in the America East tournament.

Junior Taylor Quinn returns after finishing second on the team with a .324 batting average. She played in 44 games with 42 starts, recording 44 hits with three doubles, four triples and one homerun. Additionally, Quinn scored 24 runs and recorded 25 RBI. Junior Mary Kate Murray finished fourth on the team with a .267 average, recording 32 hits with two doubles, one triple and one homerun. She played and started in 45 games with eight runs scored and 27 RBI.

Sophomore Hailey Errichiello returns to the circle after finishing second on the team with a 4.17 ERA. She made 24 appearances with 12 starts, pitching six complete games with one save and striking out 62 batters.

UMass Minutewomen
The Minutewomen finished the 2025 slate with a 14-33 record and a 6-16 mark in the Atlantic 10.

Junior Brooke Musch led UMass last season with a .304 batting average, recording 35 hits with four doubles and three triples. She recorded 10 RBI and scored 29 runs, playing in 47 games with 45 starts. Junior Riley Kairer played in 47 games with 46 starts, posting a .300 batting average. She had 42 hits with six doubles and seven triples, scoring 21 runs and recording 12 RBI.

Junior Hannah Streicher returns as the top pitcher for the Minutewomen, pitching a team-low 3.05 in the 2025 season. She made 24 appearances with 11 starts, pitching eight complete games with one save in 96.1 innings pitched. Streicher struck out 48 batters.

The Flames finished the 2025 season with a 9-46 record and a 5-22 record in Missouri Valley Conference play.

She recorded 31 hits with five doubles and a homerun, 12 runs scored and 17 RBI.
