Kartusch Earns MAC Golfer of the Week

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- Addison Kartusch of the BGSU women's golf team earned MAC Golfer of the Week honors for the first time in her career for her performance in the A-Ga-Ming Invitational last weekend, Aug. 31-Sep. 1.Â
The Winnipeg, Manitoba native put on an outstanding display last weekend as she shot a 205 over three rounds of play, earning her a finish -11 under par and finishing first individually in the tournament. She also set a tournament record for the best score at the A-Ga-Ming, and set a program record for the best score in a 54-hole tournament. In her second round of the tournament, she shot a 65 for -7 under par, earning her the best 18-hole score in program history. Kartusch led the way for the Falcons as they finished first at the A-Ga-Ming and set a program record for the best team score at a 54 hole tournament, finishing with an 873.Â
Kartusch and the Falcons will look to stay hot this weekend as they travel to Normal, Ill. for the Redbird Invitational, hosted by Illinois State. The shotgun start for the Redbird is slated for Sunday, Sep. 7 at 8:30 am ET.Â
