BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University men's basketball road game against Miami (OH) has been selected for national television. The Mid-American Conference announced Thursday (Jan. 29) that the BGSU-Miami game has been picked up by CBS Sports Network. The game was originally scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 21 and will now move to Friday, Feb. 20 with an 8:30 p.m. tip off in Oxford. Â
The game will be the second meeting between the two this season after previously playing on Dec. 30 inside the Stroh Center. Miami came away with a 93-83 win in that contest, but the Falcons finished on a high note. Bowling Green outscored the RedHawks 55-39 in the second half, including 16 points from Sam Towns alone in the second half for a game-high 24.
The nationally televised game will be BGSU's second of the season after previously hosting Akron on CBS Sports Network on Jan. 9. Bowling Green has had at least one nationally televised regular season game in each of the last 11 seasons, dating back to the 2015-16 campaign. During that span, BGSU has had 18 games on CBS Sports Network, seven games on ESPNU, two games on ESPN2, two games on Big Ten Network, one game on FS2 and one game on ACC Network.
The Falcons are currently holding a 13-8 record on the season while being 4-5 at the midway point of the MAC schedule. Bowling Green's next contest will be a road game at Central Michigan on Saturday (Jan. 31) at 7 p.m. for CMU's Toilet Paper Toss game. The Falcons will then return home to the Stroh Center on Tuesday (Feb. 3) to host Ball State at 7 p.m. for Faith and Family Night.
