BGSU Finishes Second, Places Three Runners in Top 10

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Bowling Green women's cross country squad finished second in their first 6K of 2026 at the George Dales Invitational on Friday morning. In a 14-team, 147 runner field, three Falcons finished in the top ten.
Rachael Hoover rushed to a fifth place finish at 21:11.3, with freshman Talya Schreiber following in seventh (21:16.4) in her collegiate debut. Lexi Panning crossed the finish in ninth, punching the clock at 21:21.7.
Marissa Boone set a new personal record in the 6K, besting her previous best at Paul Short with a 21:50.3 (21st) race.
Maggie Foust (21:58.5, 24th) and Lily Good (22:08.8, 27th) rounded out the top seven finishers for BGSU.
Leah Corby (22:26.2) finished her first collegiate 6K, while Madison Foster and Amelia Barilla finished their races in 23:01.0 and 24:10.1, respectively.
Bowling Green will travel to Lehigh, Pa. in two weeks for the Paul Short Run on Oct. 2.
