Hoover Breaks School Record as Falcons Shine at GVSU

ALLENDALE, Mich. – Bowling Green's distance runners and throwers delivered stellar performances Friday at the GVSU Big Meet, combining for eight personal records, multiple event titles and a school record.
Rachael Hoover headlined the day in the 800m, winning in a school-record 2:07.03. The mark, at this moment, ranks 66 th in Division I this season. Freshman Marissa Boone also cracked Bowling Green's all-time top 10 in the event, climbing to seventh with a 2:12.93 finish.
Senior Kylee Cubbison claimed the mile title in a personal-best 4:42.00, while Reese Reaman followed with a season-best 4:47.81. In the 3000m, Lexi Panning moved to third all-time at BGSU, clocking a personal-record 9:35.69.
The Falcons also found success in the 5000m. Luke Lesseuer (14:49.89), Owen Zaumeyer (14:53.44) and Micah Bentley (15:11.08) each set personal records on the men's side. Regina Rose now ranks third on the Falcons' all-time list after a 16:52.6 finish, and Maddy Foster added a season best 18:00.37 race.
In the field, Sierra Brinson placed fourth in the shot put with a throw of 14.05m. Sierra Podolan recorded a personal-best 13.30m, while Grace Bradtmueller posted a season-best 16.47m in the weight throw. Emma Hoffman added a personal record of 15.05m.
