Falcons Post Top-Three All-Time DMR to Close Weekend
February 14, 2026 | Women's Track and Field
ALLENDALE, Mich. – Bowling Green closed out Grand Valley State's Big Meet on Saturday, competing in the 4000m distance medley relay.
The Falcons entered two relay teams in Saturday's races. The quartet of Rachel Hoover, Nora Ritting, Reese Reaman and Kylee Cubbison reached the top 35 in Division I with an 11:30.57 race, earning second place with the third fastest time in program history. Lexi Panning, Anna Buddelmeyer, Amelia Barilla and Regina Rose completed the race at 12:08.37.
The relay put a cap on a productive weekend for the Falcons. Distance runners added new entries to BGSU's top 10 lists and achieved multiple personal records, while Hoover set a school record in the 800m. The throws group demonstrated further improvement in the shot put and weight throw.
"We took some solid steps," said Head Coach Lou Snelling, "Rachael took the school record in the 800 by a good margin, which was really impressive. There were quality improvements across the board here and plenty of top-five performances."
The team will travel again next weekend, departing for the Silverston Invitational and Alex Wilson Invitational on Feb. 20-21.
"We have some work to do as always," Snelling said. "We need to take care of ourselves health-wise, but our current trajectory is solid."
