Falcons Ready for Vital CCHA Weekend Series at No. 16 Michigan Tech

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Bowling Green Falcons (16-9-7, 13-7-4 CCHA) conclude the regular season this weekend in Houghton, Mich., at Michigan Tech (21-10-3, 16-5-3 CCHA). The Huskies are ranked No. 16 in the nation by USCHO, No. 18 in the new NPI (NCAA Percentage Index), and No. 17 in the USA Hockey poll. BGSU is receiving votes in the USCHO poll, ranked No. 21 in the NPI, and receiving votes in the USA Hockey poll. These teams are meeting for the first time sinced BGSU swept the Huskies at Slater Family Ice Arena in the quarterfinals of the CCHA Mason Cup Playoffs last season.
Both teams are trying to secure home ice in the upcoming CCHA Mason Cup Playoffs. BGSU enters the week in fifth place with 44 points, while the Huskies are in third place with 48 points. Augustana has secured home ice with 50 points. St. Thomas is tied with Michigan Tech at 48 points, while Minnesota State holds fourth place with 46 points.
