SETTING THE SCENE / FOLLOW THE FALCONS
• The Bowling Green State University women's soccer team, coming off of a two-goal win in the regular-season opener, hits the road for the first time in the 2026 season. Head coach Chris Fox and the Falcons will face Oakland University on Thursday evening (Aug. 20), with first touch set for 7:00 p.m. at Oakland Soccer Field.
• Then, the Orange and Brown will continue a two-game road swing with a Sunday (Aug. 23) matchup against the University of Cincinnati. That contest will begin at 4:00 p.m. at Gettler Stadium.
• Fox and his staff – associate head coach Steven Samuel, assistant coach Hope Stacker and graduate assistant coach Anna Young – have 17 returning student-athletes, including nine starters, from the 2025 team. Last year's club went 10-3-9 overall and 4-1-7 in Mid-American Conference play.
• That 2025 squad finished sixth in the then 13-team league, but advanced all the way to the championship match of the MAC Tournament.
• BGSU's .659 winning percentage was the third-highest in program history.
WHERE TO WATCH
• Thursday's Oakland match will not be streamed. Sunday's Cincinnati match will be streamed on ESPN+.
