BGSU looks to bounce back this weekend at Mercyhurst

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Milwaukee scored with just one second remaining in the match Tuesday night (Sept. 15), topping the Bowling Green State University men's soccer team, 1-0, in non-conference action at Engelmann Stadium.

Praise Ogwu tucked home a rebound to give the Panthers (3-3-2) the last-second victory. The goal came after AJ Wild's header had been blocked by a BGSU defender near the crossbar, but the ball fell to Ogwu at the far post.

Each team wound up with 16 total shot attempts on the night, and the Falcons (1-5-1) had a narrow 8-7 advantage in shots on goal. BGSU also had a 9-1 lead in corner kicks.

Carson Pridie made eight saves in goal for the hosts, while Enzo Gil had four stops for the Falcons, who were credited with a pair of 'team saves' as well.

UP NEXT
• The Falcons return to the road this weekend, heading to Erie, Pa., to take on Mercyhurst on Saturday evening (Sept. 19). That match will begin at 6:00 p.m. at Saxon Stadium.
• Then, the Orange and Brown will open the Missouri Valley Conference slate at home against Western Michigan on Friday, Sept. 25. That match, which will be part of Alumni Weekend festivities for the men's soccer program, will start at 7:00 p.m. at Cochrane Stadium, and admission is free.
