BGSU XC Prepared for Paul Short Run
October 01, 2026 | Men's Cross Country, Women's Cross Country
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Both the men's and women's cross country teams will travel east for the Paul Short Run in Bethlehem, Pa. Competition begins Friday, Oct. 2 at 11 a.m. on the Goodman Campus Cross Country Course with the Men's Gold 8K and the Women's Gold 6K at 11:45 am.
The Falcons enter Friday's race after each team performed well at the George Dales Invitational in Kalamazoo. There, the women's team finished second in a field of 13, with three runners posting top ten finishes. The men's team showed how improved this year's squad is with a fifth-place team finish and four runners in the top 30.
At Paul Short last season, Bowling Green captured seventh on the women's side and beat prominent programs like Penn, Harvard, Pittsburgh and Yale. They'll hope to replicate and advance that success Friday morning. After competing in the Brown Race in 2025, the men's team will run in the Men's Gold 8K this year. They aim to demonstrate their development and improve on last year's point total.
The field in Bethlehem consists of 19 regionally ranked men's teams and 21 regionally ranked women's teams. No. 28 Penn State will be the lone nationally ranked team competing in the Women's Gold 6K.
