Women’s Golf Travels to Iowa for Diane Thomason Invitational

Iowa City, Iowa- The BGSU women's golf is back in action this week as they travel to Iowa City, Iowa for the Diane Thomason Invitational hosted by the University of Iowa on Monday, Sept. 28-29. The tournament will be hosted at Davenport Country Club, with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
Rounds one and two will be played on Monday, followed by 18 holes on Tuesday, Sept. 29. It will be a 54 hole, five count four stroke play event.
The Falcons are coming off a tie for fourth place at the Marry Fossum Invitational last week (Sept. 20-21), where junior Addison Kartusch finished as runner-up and junior Avery Thompson tied for tenth.
Last Year the Falcons finished fifth in the Diane Thomason Invite, where junior Macie Elzinga finished tenth individually and shot +6.
The Lineup
Addison Kartusch will be leading the Falcons, who is coming off a second place finish at the Mary Fossum Invitational, where she posted a +2. Avery Thompson is looking to stay strong after tying for 10th at +8, her best score so far as a Falcon. Sophomore Copelin O'Krangley will fill in the third slot for the Falcons after shooting ten over par last week. Junior McKenzie Miller will be fourth the Falcon. Rounding out the Falcons will be senior Sammie Dolce. Junior Macie Elzinga will be competing as an individual.
