Jim Elsasser, Associate Athletic Director for Internal Affairs, is responsible for the financial operations of the department[apos]s $16 million dollar budget, athletic business office, administration of three sports, (hockey and men[apos]s and women[apos]s golf) as well as the administration of the equipment room.
Elsasser also is responsible for the scheduling and operations of all athletic facilities, including all capital projects within athletics, serves as liaison to the athletics grounds crew and supervises all aspects of BGSU game operations.
In addition, Elsasser serves as the athletic liaison to numerous campus constituent groups including Dining Services, Capital Planning, Facility Services, Risk Management, Parking and Traffic.
Prior to being promoted to his current position in January of 2009, he had previously served as an Assistant Athletic Director for Internal Affairs specifically managing facilities and operations. Elsasser started his career in at BGSU in 1995 as and Assistant to the Athletics Director administering the summer camp and concession operations.
The Elyria, Ohio native received his bachelor[apos]s degree in sport management from Bowling Green in 1991 and a master[apos]s degree in sport administration from BGSU in 1993.
Jim and his wife, Sara, have two children, Rebecca and Isaac, and reside in Bowling Green.
