Braden Musser was added to BGSU’s strategic communications department as a coordinator in June 2025. He is the primary media contact for the ice hockey, tennis, and men’s and women’s golf teams.

A native of Grand Rapids, Mich., Musser joins BGSU from Adrian College, where he worked in the sports information department as a student worker from 2023-2025. In this role, he input live stats for a number of sports teams on campus including, basketball, ice hockey, baseball, and volleyball. He also wrote a number of player bios, press releases, and added decades worth of archived rosters to Adrian’s athletics website.

In May of 2025, Musser graduated from Adrian College with his Bachelor of Science in Public Relations. During his senior year, he was named Outstanding Senior in Communication Arts and was a recipient of the Noah Pieh Male Leadership Award. While at Adrian, Musser was also a 4-year starter on the men’s soccer team and captained the team his senior year.

Musser joins BGSU with ties to the area and university, as his older brother, Carson, was a member of the ice hockey team from 2017-2021. His great uncle, Bill Blair, was also the official scorer for the men’s basketball team for 41 years and was also a red hat official for BGSU football. Growing up, Musser often spent time visiting Bowling Green, as his late uncle, Rick Musser, and his aunt, Nadine (Bechstein) Musser, raised their family close by in Weston, Ohio.
