Harley King joined Bowling Green in 2019 as the Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance, following a 10-year stint at West Virginia. He was named Associate Athletics Director in July of 2020.

In March 2022 King added women's soccer to his sport oversight duties which already included men's soccer.

At BGSU, King is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the compliance department, serving all 18 teams and 425 student-athletes. He is also the sport administrator for men's soccer and serves on the department's executive staff.

At West Virginia, King served as the Compliance Coordinator from 2009-13 and was then promoted to Director of Compliance. Prior to his time in Morgantown, King was the Interim Director of Compliance at Ohio University as well as a compliance assistant.

He earned his bachelor's degree in sport management from Kent State in 2007 and a master's degree in recreation and sport sciences from Ohio in 2009.
