Aaron Kahn

Aaron Kahn joins the Bowling Green hockey program for his first season as a volunteer assistant coach in the 2016-17 campaign. Kahn is a recent graduate of Ohio State University, where he graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Sport Industry and Business with a pre-law focus.
In the summer of 2016, Kahn volunteered with the USA Hockey National Team Development Program’s Strelow Goaltending program, of which Falcons hockey NHL draftee Ryan Bednard attended. Kahn gained additional hockey experience by completing a media relations internship with the Pittsburgh Penguins throughout the summer of 2015.
Kahn joined the Ohio State varsity program in November 2013 as a walk-on goaltender, all the while serving as a captain and starting goaltender for the Ohio State club hockey team. The Berkeley, Calif. native recorded a 4-0 record, one shutout, 2.25 goals-against average and a .925 save percentage in his first five games played prior to joining the Buckeye varsity team. Kahn also was between the pipes for 15 games in his first year with the club team.
Prior to moving to Columbus, Ohio, Kahn graduated from Berkeley High School in 2012, where he was a multisport athlete by participating in four league championships for lacrosse. Kahn played youth hockey for the San Jose Jr. Sharks AAA team, and was a member of the 2007 Pacific District championship squad that also captured bronze in the USA Hockey National Championship.
Kahn is the son of Andy Kahn and Janet Schneider, and has one sister, Lucy, who is currently a medical student at Nova Southeastern University.
