Moment #8 Of 2014-15: Men's Soccer Wins a Wild One over Western Michigan

For the sixth year in a row, BGSU Athletics will be counting down the top stories of the year leading into the beginning of the fall athletics season. The 2014-15 season was a fantastic year with many triumphs and we get to celebrate those during our summer countdown.

We will release the list one at a time throughout the summer until the No. 1 story of the year is announced on Aug. 7 -- just as #FalconFast BGSU football camp gets underway and the 2015-16 season has officially started! Today we reveal the No. 8 moment from 2014-15.

Men's Soccer Earns Wild 2-1 Win Over WMU To Stay Alive in MAC Tourney Race
Max Auden scored late in regulation, then again in overtime as the men's soccer Falcons rallied for a 2-1 win over Western Michigan on Nov. 1 at Cochrane Field. A loss against the Broncos would have eliminated BGSU from MAC Tournament contention, and the visitors had several golden opportunities to down the Falcons. After a scoreless first half, the intensity gradually increased during the second period, and the final few minutes of regulation and the overtime were almost surreal. That extra period included a shot off the crossbar, a red card, a penalty kick, a goalkeeper change and finally, Auden's second goal of the match.
