Women's Cross Country Ranked Sixth In Region

The first Great Lakes Region Women's Cross Country Poll has been released, and the Bowling Green State University team is ranked sixth. The Falcons trail (in order) Wisconsin, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio and Michigan State, and BG is ranked just ahead of Butler, Marquette, Kent and Toledo.
The Falcons, currently under the direction of interim coach Scott Sehmann, open the season a week from Saturday (Sept. 11) at the Ohio University Duals. The men's cross country team of second-year coach Sterling Martin also opens the 1999 season at that OU meet.
