CCHA Releases Preseason Polls

Michigan received 10 of 12 first-place votes from the CCHA Coaches and 140 points, to edge Michigan State by nine points. The Spartans garnered the other two first-place votes. Northern Michigan was third with 121 points, followed by Notre Dame with 104 and Ohio State with 93.
Bowling Green received 89 points and were followed by Ferris State (67), Lake Superior (56), Miami (53), Western Michigan (38), Nebraska-Omaha (25) and Alaska Fairbanks (19).
MSU received 18 first-place votes and 462 points in the media poll to finish ahead of Michigan's 454 points and 19 first-place votes. NMU was third with three first-place votes and 389 points, while Ohio State was fourth with one first-place vote and 356 points.
Notre Dame was fifth with 340 points, while Bowling Green had 263 points. The Falcons were followed by Ferris State (213), Lake Superior (201), Miami (188), Western Michigan (153), Nebraska-Omaha (97) and Alaska Fairbanks (82).
