Fowler Named MAC Scholar Athlete Of The Week

Bowling Green senior goalkeeper Ty Fowler (Northville, MI/Northville) was named the MAC Male Scholar Athlete of the Week.

Fowler (3.89/psychology) allowed only two goals in two matches last week as BG defeated Bucknell, 5-1, and tied Western Michigan, 1-1 in double overtime. WMU's lone goal came on a penalty kick. Fowler made four saves versus Bucknell and six against the Broncos.

The honor is presented to MAC male and female student-athlete who has a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or better and performs well during that week's competition. The winners are selected by one of the conference's faculty athletic representatives.
