Falcons Open Season With A Third-Place Finish

The Bowling Green State University women's golf team began its 1999-2000 campaign with a third-place finish in its own Falcon Invitational.

Leading the way for the Falcons was freshman Shelley Binzel, who tied for second individually with a 36-hole total of 152. Senior Shannon Sharp tied for 16th at 161, while sophomore Shannon Smith tied for 18th with a 162.

After taking the upcoming weekend off, BG will participate in the Penn State Fall Invitational on Oct. 1-3 in University Park, Pennsylvania.
