Falcons Third In Meet At Western Michigan

The Bowling Green State University women's gymnastics team finished third in a three-team meat hosted by Western Michigan Sunday afternoon. Kent took top team honors with a score of 192.325 while Western Michigan finished with 191.075 and Bowling Green had a total of 189.225.
Top finisher for the Falcons in the meet was sophomore Marny Oestreng in the beam where her score of 9.800 placed her second behind Kent's Kristy High who earned a score of 9.825.
Two athletes placed third in their event.
Rachel Hall tied for third in the beam with a score of 9.725 while Amber Curry was third in the floor exercise with a score of 9.750.
Bowling Green had the top team score in the beam with a 48.325, but were last in each of the other three events.
Hall was one of two BG athletes in the all-around and her total of 37.825 was good fourth among six gymnasts.
The Falcons are now 2-3 on the season, 2-3 against MAC foes.
