The Falcons got back to winning ways in a three-game sweep of Marshall (15-4, 15-13, 15-7). BGSU hit at least .317 in every game en route to a .349 performance for the match, as the Falcons won for the ninth time in 10 tries. The win also was BG's fifth consecutive road victory.
Leading the way in the kills department was senior Melissa Lewis. Lewis paced the team in that category for the 21st time in this season's 24 matches, with a match-high 22. She hit .341 on the evening.
Senior Kris Pesorda had 15 kills and a stellar hitting percentage of .519, with just one error in 27 total attempts. Sophomore Amber Vorst had 11 kills and hit .321, and senior Heather Greig had 49 assists.
Defensively, Lewis had 11 digs to lead BG, while senior Lori Kemerer had a match-best eight blocks. Pesorda had five block assists as BG had 14 blocks as a team.
The Falcons allowed MU to hit just .146 on the afternoon, including a -.024 rate in game one.
